ORANGE GOJI SMOOTHIE RECIPE
This is one of my favorites, especially when oranges are in season! The citrus brightens the goji berries and the fresh or frozen mango adds a touch of tropical sweetness.
½ cup of soaked goji berries (include soak water)
1 cup of organic fresh or frozen mangoes (or any fruit of choice)
1 organic banana (optional)
2 tsp soaked chia seeds (soak with gojis)
1 cup of fresh pressed orange juice (2-3 oranges)
1 T of bentonite green clay or clinoptilolite
DIRECTIONS : Soak goji berries and chia seeds in ONE container with the filtered water for 5-10 minutes while you prep. Place banana, goji berries, with soak water, frozen mangoes and fresh pressed orange juice in blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
TIME SAVING TIP : Juice your oranges the night before and place it into ice cube trays immediately. Place in blender with all other ingredients, but there will NOT be much liquid beyond the chia/goji brine water.
NUTRITION TIP : Goji berries and chia seeds thicken this smoothie up really nicely…all the while providing high volumes of vitamin C to boost your immunity and provide amino and omega 3 fatty acids.
Drink immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
